I found an ad in the back of the American Rifleman classifieds for this company selling AR-uppers that launch the .50 round in a single shot and a side-magazine fed setup. looks pretty damn awesome and I'm wondering if anyone has any usage or testing with this setup?

We cant own 50BMG in CA because they can shoot down Helicopters....

But, there ar exceoptions...which we're too late for anyways. :D

We can however have a 50DTC!

I avoid Safety Harbor items, the guy worked for Serbu a few miles away in Tampa then went out on his own, starting with Mark Serbu's work and tweaking it.

yes, he did, but I do think that the KEG-12 is actually an improvement on the Super Shorty.

I had seen this too, doesn't look like there's any market for ammo though

if you shoot much, you'll end up loading your own. easy to do with .50BMG components.

Otherwise, there are a couple licensed makers of 510DTC ammo that you can order from.

I have one from the first batch made (#004) Haven't had any problems other than losing some of the small parts of the extractor at the range one time...
Here's a range report I did on it back in the day.

http://www.daplane.com/50bmg/um50rpt.htm

Since that time, the scope rail and muzzle brake have been improved and the magazine capacity is now 5rnds rather than just 3 like mine.

If there's enough interest, I may be able to get another run of the DTC versions made.
