Hello gun brothers,

Please help me (a freshman) with this rifle that I got as a gift. I don't know what it is, but I would like to sell it. Here's what I can see from the markings:

No.4 MK1
BB1?

Please help me identify this rifle, and how much I should sell it for. Thank you!

The next thing you're going to tell me is that it works better with ammo :)

Thanks for the help!

SMLE Mk IV, No.1, .303.

"Bubba'd" like that, worth maybe $100-150.

Where are you located? I might be interested, since it is already bubba'd, it wont be so bad doing the 7.62x39 conversion.

I really do appreciate the amazing amount of information from you enthusiasts, and the fun in learning it in the process!

For example, "bubba'd" ? Priceless.

I'd shoot the **** out of it. I have one similar (although they did a better job sporterizing it) and a jungle carbine. Not trying to mess up a possible sale, but have you shot it yet? They are pretty fun. .303 British is no joke, my brother smoked a bear with one :chris:
