View Full Version : DD barrel assembly?

I just purchased a completed DD barrel assembly from Riflegear, but realized that I have to remove the gas tub and FSB sight.
I suppose I should have went with stripped, but thought this was better buy only to realize I have more work to do.
Can someone point me to best approach for this?
BTW - this is my first post :D

why do you have to remove the gas tube and FSB. Are you installing a free float handgaurd? anyways welcome to the world of posting!

cause the barrel nut doesnt fit past the front sight?

How would I screw in the barrel nut to upper receiver? I am a noob, but the gas tube extends through barrel nut and retaining ring, weld spring etc. You can see it here.

Just remove the gas tube and screw the barrel nut onto the receiver.

another noob question. is pin that holds gas tube generally one way?

No, just push it out with a punch. Easy stuff.
Also, if you're going with that handguard, you don't need to remove the front sight. Very straightforward operation.

There's instructions on Riflegears website to install the handguard.
