Are they considered DD in CA.???Some of the old muzzle loaders went as high as 78 cal.Something like the 54 Sharps also which is a BP cased shell, are these oldies DD????

dimensional DD rules don't normally apply to muzzleloaders.

fixed ammo, even if it is loaded with BP is subject to the dimensional DD rules.

Also, the CA DD rules don't even kick in until .60-cal. But they don't apply anyways.

Personally, I've got a .54-cal Hawken Carbine that's a blast to shoot.

I own a 54 hawken lefty and also have a Pedersoli Denali on the marketplace in 50 cal inline

Here is my 75 caliber. 1 of 2 made. Fiddleback maple wood with a hexagon barrel. I can not remember the twist rate. Shoots a .72 patched ball with anywhere from 70 - 100 grains of FFF.
