Want to find the best range to zero a scar 16 in the bay area.

ummmm... any that will let you shoot to at least 50yds should do it for a good BZO.
Lost Altos is one of my personal favs.
USI in Concord isnt bad either.

Chabot 50yd line. Set your rear to mechanical zero windage, and your elevation to 2 (200yds). Make your windage and elevation with the front site. Raise post to lower poi, lower post to raise poi. You will need the long front site adjustment tool to fit in the sights protective ears. Windage on front site uses an Allen wrench, forget the size. Left shifts poi right, right shifts poi left.

You can start at 25 yards, then move out to 50 or 100 without having to pack-up and change stations.
