There is a local shop that has the AE 40gr solid .22lr in cases of 5000 for $169.99
I've shot maybe a box during some ammo testing but thats about it. Seems like a decent deal, even better than some on-line places with out shipping.
FTF's, Failures to extract, anyone have anything to say, good or bad?

I have used them at my local range. They are OK and cycled in my Colt M4 .22, SIG 522, GSG-5, SIG Mosquito, and my Walther P22 with no problems.

Good plinking ammo and pretty accurate for target shooting out to 25yds if your firearm likes them. I found my riflles shoot the 38gr hollowpoints more accurately than the 40gr solids. Could just be my rifles though. I expect round nose solids to be a tad more accuract than hollowpoints. Never had a firing, extraction or ejection problem with the ammo. I think I paid $159/5000 a while back from Dunn's Sporting Goods.

I'm thinking good ammo for the kids to burn up. Just saw 525 CCI Blazer at Big5 for $22. Seems like they raised their prices on everything. Been looking at the Mini 14 for $699 when I can get the funds together. Now it seems to have gone up $20. The Blazers were $17 not more than a month ago it seems.

It is good ammo for plinking, accurate enough for that and never had a failure to fire thru over a case of it. (38gr HP) The round nose 40gr has the same ballistics as the Federal Lightning that Walmart sells for $1.97+tax for 50 and is widelly believed to be the same ammo. $169/5000 is a very fair price for that ammo in my opinion.

I had about 1500 rounds that I got from Miwall at a gun show a couple of years ago. It shot great in everything I ran it through.
