View Full Version : Ruger MKIII chip in bolt, anyone had this happen?

The gun has thousands of rounds through it, and I rarely clean it, but it started having FTE's so I figured it was time. Well, a piece of the bolt face under the extractor has chipped off. Anyone seen this happen?

That's strange. I would contact Ruger if you haven't already.

E-mail this pic to Ruger and ask them if it's normal.

Ruger has great customer service. They should take care of it.

I've never seen anything similar happen.

There must have been a flaw in the base metal. I've never seen that before.
