Not really a special place for ear protection.

I have one of these - http://www.amazon.com/Peltor-97010-Ultimate-10-Hearing-Protector/dp/B000PW98WO/ref=sr_1_5?ie=UTF8&qid=1333488761&sr=8-5 (different decoration) NRR 30 and we have 2 of these - http://www.amazon.com/Peltor-PELTOR-Optime-105-Earmuff/dp/B003NUXLXC/ref=sr_1_81?ie=UTF8&qid=1333488989&sr=8-81 , also NRR 30 .

My wife has one of these - http://www.amazon.com/Howard-Leight-R-03318-Leightning-Shooters/dp/B001DZX86O/ref=pd_sbs_indust_1, again NRR 30

We also went to Howard Leight Impacts - http://www.amazon.com/Howard-Leight-R-01526-Electronic-Earmuff/dp/B001T7QJ9O/ref=tag_dpp_lp_edpp_ttl_in - NRR 22 so sometimes need plugs underneath.
