Does anyone know any FFLs doing SSEs on the Colt/Umarex or Browning 1911 .22s?
I feel the need to to add to my .22 collection and these would be great for shoot-offs with new shooters that I occasionally bring to the range. :D

No need to get an SSE for the Browning. I DROSed one on the 17th and picked it up from my LGS on the 27th. The Browning 1911 .22 A1 is a great gun and not made of Zinc Alloy like the Colt. Pretty accurate out to 15 yards too. I have had 3 failures to feed out of 600 rounds and that is 2 with Federal Bulk and 1 with CCI Mini Mags. Both were ammo related, not the gun's fault. I shot over 300+ rounds of the Winchester 333 Bulk ammo hollow points with no problems whatsoever. These proved to be the most accurate too.

Isn't the browning a scaled down version?

Yes, it is about 7/8ths the size of the regular 1911. Breaks down exactly like a full size 1911 though. The only difference is there is no swinging barrel link so it goes back together really fast. I broke mine down and cleaned it after putting 300+ rounds through it (600+ total) in about 5-6 minutes.
