Hey guys I got a box of reloading supplies from a relative, and inside was a 1911 barrel, spring, and slide unit. It was in a 1911 .22 conversion kit box so I assume the gun was converted and the original parts are what I have. I don't have the gun nor do I have a way of tracking the gun down. Are these parts worth anything? If so approx how much cause I am not sure what to do with it.

Are there any markings on the slide or barrel? Being able to identify who made them will be easier to determine what they're worth!

depending on the brand, if its the conversion slide with barrel and parts, might be worth a couple hundred, if a 1911 barrel/slide would be less. post a pic or brand

I am at work so I will post a pic later tonight... it is a original 1911 slide/barrel/spring. I don't recall the brand, but I will take a look when I get home.

Chinese made close copy of a GI M1911.

Tough hard to machine steel, many smiths will not cut sight dovetails in that slide because it requires carbide tooling.

The barrel is probably OK but some people say they aren't that great.

The same can be said for the small parts.

Value is not terribly high because they are not premium parts.

Well I have no use for it... I would be willing for a fair trade if anyone is interested?

Here is my wishlist haha...
1.) .223 ammo, components, and or brass
2.) Powder suitable for .223
3.) 45ACP brass

How much .45 brass, I have some police range once fired.

I've got some 55 grain PMC Bronze .223 also, but not that much.

Well shoot me a PM with what you think a fair amount of either would be. I am building my first AR but I also just obtained a Ruger P90 and was gonna do some reloads. I have everything but brass for the 45. So either works.
