I read once that the Bisley hammer made a good beer bottle opener so had to find out. It worked like a charm. I only tried it once since I'd hate to bust off the hammer spur on this 112 year old gun.

Buds are twist off....But what fun is that? Actually, it was an old Skeeter Skelton article about when he was a kid and an old timer did the bisley trick. Back in the pre twist off days.

Haha, fun. I wouldn't have had the balls to actually do it.

Good to know but I cringe at the thought. That's a nice piece you have and I don't think I could do it, not even once!

I've gotten some weird looks at backyard BBQs using my 1911 to pop the top off of beer bottles. You sir, have found an even classier way to do it. :)
