I wish there had been a few more shots of the J&G yugos so I had a better idea of what I was buying at the time. It turned out great so I am sharing my 24/47 Mauser in case anyone is on the fence. The gun overall was great and no rust on this one under the upper hand guard or anywhere on the barrel. I cleaned it to the bone and rubbed the stock down with just a dry rag to buff the cos off and leave the finish what it is. I bought a leather sling for it and now just been shooting it! I ordered another one from them today and I am hoping it is as nice as this one.

Hmm I wonder if the bolts on these are as lefty friendly as the one on the mosins?

Yes.

I say that after shooting a Vz.24.

Also, the normal 98k is not a problem at all, honestly...

The price is good from a good reputable company I see it as a no brainer... Now I just need to find an envelope and mail off my c&r to jg...

Markus,
Yep once your paper work is in the orders have been getting to me in about 3 to 4 bizz days total time from when I click order to the day they are at my door. I am in N. Cal. Good luck on yours and I will add some pics of my next one when it gets here on Wednesday or Thursday.

Looks great! Nice looking Yugo crest and nice looking stock.

I've had great luck with J&G.

I got mine at JGsales in person last summer and it looks almost identical. These are such a nice bargain. Congrats, I hope yours gives you as much fun shooting as mine does (and stock up on ammo because you'll take it out again and again).

Two problems with this statement.

Stop thinking.

No one really needs another one.

I have spent way too much money at J&G. I love that place.

I waited 4 bizz days then called them and they already had it on file and ready to go. I ordered my second Yugo on Sunday and they are still processing it as of today. No ship yet so they must be busy. I am hoping it goes out tomorrow but I will not have it by Friday at this point it will be Monday. Will post pics of it when it gets here.

Yes it did come with a blued bolt. The whole darn thing. It is the first one I have seen like this myself. Not that is saying much but I was hoping my next one has a bare metal bolt. Maybe someone with more know can tell us what the difference is from a blued bolt or not?

Markus,
No I did not go for hand select. Online they do not even offer the hand select option so I am not sure if you could get that on these or not over the phone.

I was just about to ask you.

I just picked up am24/47 today as well and the blued bolt on yours just looks way cool.

Just got done with disassembly and cosmoline removal right now.

it there any significance in having the entire bolt blued? My yugo's bolt is entirely blued.

Nice rifle, very classy. Just out of curiosity, where is the best place to buy 8mm Mauser ammo? A lot of places have milsurp listed as out of stock and all I see is modern Partizan. Is there still deals on 8mm milsurp out there or do you just reload?
