Today I shot my new Kriss for the first time (sorry no pictures). I first sighted in the factory sights at the recommended 25 yards. That went well. The rifle was holding a very tight group at bull’s-eye after a few magazines and adjustments. I then reached out using the bench rest to target the steel plates at 100 & 125yrds. I was able to hit them consitantly with the open sites.

I fired 150 rounds of Federal American Eagle 230grn. FMJ. There were no problems at all. The rifle worked perfectly. The only thing that I would like to see improved is the trigger. It was like the stock trigger on my M&P 15, rather a long not too smooth pull with a break that could be cleaner. It was still OK, and it was the only thing that I wasn’t thrilled about.

There is still a kick and some muzzle rise even with the new recoil system. It lets you know that you are putting a big hunk of lead down range. The only other pistol caliber carbine that I have shot is my Marlin 1894C in .357 mag. The recoil and control of the Kriss is noticeably better then my Marlin.

In my opinion, this is a terrific rifle. I can’t remember when I have had so much fun at the range with a brand new firearm.

Nice! How much did you pick it up for if you don't mind me asking?

What seral number range is your Kriss? My buddy's gun has a 10XX serial number (one of the early oneS), and has so far worked 100%. Only downside is it seems to get dirty relatively quick.

You'll want to buy some spare buffers for your slider block too- they tend to get chewed up pretty quickly.

I think that the "Barrel shroud" is standard. The shroud is actually quite functional. You can grab and hold the rifle barrel without burning your hand.

The standard flip-up Kriss sights.
