i was at my father's house, and we were talking guns, and he had mentioned that my brother had brought back "the russian", so i figured i would borrow it, to show to a couple of people, (calguns is a "couple of people"?), when i opened the safe, the 32 rimfire was sitting next to it, so i thought i would make a pair of it.
the mdl 3, was made around 1903, in 44 russian, and we still reload for it, and shoot it. it belonged to my uncle, and other than that, don't know the history.
the mdl 1 1/2, came in pieces, along with several other iver johnson, h&r "breaktop 32's. the "1 1/2", was rusty as hell, and i spent some time, (20 yrs ago), wire brushing it, and trying to figure out which pieces, fit which guns. i finally got three or four of them together, (not usable, but presentable). since then, my dad, made some walnut grips for it.
this mdl 1 1/2, has the last patent date being nov 21, 65

Spend $50 and get a SW factory letter on the S&W Russian. You'll know more once you read it.
