Hello Calgunners,

I recently purchased a lower for a .308 AR, and am looking for iron sights to mount on it (can't afford the nightforce just yet :)). I preferably want one with rear sight elevation adjustments (actually, this is a pretty big priority) and would like them to be flip up (not totally necessary).

My main qualm is with the elevation adjustments on most BUISs I see; I assume that they are meant for .223/5.56 (correct me if I'm wrong). Are there any that have the elevation adjustments based on .308; I don't know because I have never bought irons for my guns (I just have them on guns that came with them). I would like to have elevation adjustments per 100yd (the same way it is on my m91/30) or like this sight:

Any suggestions?

Does no one have any advice on this? Did I ask a really dumb question or something ?

I ordered a .308 carry handle/iron sight directly from DPMS. It does however use the .223 front sight by DPMS.

What kind of sights does the SR-25 use? I know that they are built so that the sight is at the same height as the rail when folded, but I was just wondering if the KAC micro flip-up irons will work with a .308 (http://www.knightarmco.com/mod_weapons_2.htm)

If the adjustments were in MOA, it wouldn't really matter. Would it be hard to adjust for a .308 on the 200-600 yd ratings on the KAC (meant for 5.56/.223, I presume), or would I have to change the front sight post for that? Once again, I have never owned fully adjustable iron sights, and there doesn't seem to be too much information on this on the web.
