Hello fellow calguners!

I'm stuck between the 2?

I'm off on 2nd noveske build, got everything but the barrel, and want to pin a kx3?

I'm cannot find a good barrel for the buck with this set up.

The closest that I found was a dsa 14.5 chrome lined 1:7 twist for $150 w/o shipping. But the turn around time was a ridiculous 4-6 weeks before they even process my order. Due to high volume military/LE orders.

All the other 14.5 barrels that I found ran the 1:9 twist were cheaper but they were not chrome lined.

Noveske uses a 13.7 1:7 dual chrome lined or a 13.7 stainless chrome lined barrels in their CA SBR's. Are there any other manufacturers that produce a 13.7 barrel that is affordable?

Any positive suggestions/recomendations would be greatly appreciated!

And it is CA legal for a 13.7 barrel as long as you permanently pin/weld a long enough fh/mb. I'm planning on using a noveske kx3. Which makes the over all length over 16 inches

Thanks for your time,
Sffred

My buddy has a WOA (White Oak Armament) 13.7" barrel with a pinned KX3. FYI It is chambered in .223 and NOT 5.56. If you're planning on pinning the KX3 to the 13.7" barrel, you should have it pinned before you receive it IF you have an AR (non-pistol) lower in your possession.

Aren't most the WOA barrels .223 wylde? They can use both 223 and 556.

They could be, I'm not sure as I didn't read much into the barrel's specs. But if that's the case, then it should be fine.

WOA is still pretty pricey, has anybody tried a 1:8 twist rate?
I will be pretty much using 62-63 grain xm855 or 72 hornady tap

A KX3 on either of those barrel lengths is absolutely useless. Unless you like adding a 1/2 lb to the end of your barrel.
