Hi folks. My name is Ryan, I'm from fresno california. I've been shooting since I was a kid. I'm slowly building a gun collection and next on my list is.... U guessed it... A custom Ar!
Love the community here, I've been lurking for a few weeks and finally decided to register. I've got a head full of questions about building an AR but I'm trying to research as much as possible on my own before starting a HELP ME MY BRAIN HURTS thread.
Thanks for the awesome community I look forward to being part of it!

Hi Ryan, welcome to Calguns. You may have already seen these but just in case here are a couple of assembly guides:
Two things to note, the disconnector spring is wider on one end, the wide end goes down or the disconnector may not function properly. Take it easy when putting in the roll pin for the trigger guard, it is possible to break off one of the ears on the lower.
The process is pretty easy, read as much as you can, and look at videos on Youtube. Good luck.

Welcome to Calguns! I think socal bob had the right link you’ll need for that AR.
You might also want to check out the Centerfire rifle section (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/forumdisplay.php?f=67).
Make sure you post up pics when you’re all done.

Thanks everyone! It'll be awhile before I get my ar built, im going with a "one piece per paycheck" strategy but ill definitely start a work in progress thread once the lower is built.
I can't thank you all enough for all the time and effort spent sharing valuable info with everyone. After just a few days trolling and chatting I feel I have a pretty decent handle on what I need to do and what rly matters as far as quality and such
