Looking to buy a scope for my AR and I'm not sure if I need rings or a mount. Any suggestions?

Using this is the best way to mount a scope on an AR

What kind of AR? What kind of scope? For what purpose?

get a cantilever mount as in speedpower's post; they are fairly easy to find. mine is made by ADM, but lots of brands are good.

mount it on the upper, not extending onto your handguard (if it's railed). the mount will push the scope forward to help with eye relief. you don't want rings on your handguard -- any rotation would throw off your zero.

Yup it's what I use.. All you need to know is 30mm or 1" for ring size.
