The Daily Caller and the NRA-ILA have put together a list of organizations, celebrities, national figures, journalists, and companies that they say "have lent monetary, grassroots or some other type of direct support to anti-gun organizations". I'm a firm believer that everyone has a right to their own opinion and to support any cause they choose to support, but at the same time I don't have to support their positions by doing any more business than necessary with them.

Link To Article & List (http://dailycaller.com/2012/03/01/the-big-list-of-who-hates-guns/)
I was cruising the web reading gun articles and then I started wondering about writing an article on anti-gun organizations and people. Since anti-gunners are always saying “no one wants to take your guns away” or they want me to live under their take of “sensible gun laws” (neither of which I believe to be prudent, sensible or anything remotely truthful) I figured I would go to the NRA’s Institute of Legislative Action to find out who are the people that want to be sure that I can’t defend my home or go shooting my .22 in the woods (both heinous acts of human behavior to be sure).

So, hats off the the NRA-ILA team for compiling this list. Here is what the NRA-ILA team had to say.

The following organizations have lent monetary, grassroots or some other type of direct support to anti-gun organizations. In many instances, these organizations lent their name in support of specific campaigns to pass anti-gun legislation such as the March 1995 HCI “Campaign to Protect Sane Gun Laws.” Many of these organizations were listed as “Campaign Partners,” for having pledged to fight any efforts to repeal the Brady Act and the Clinton “assault weapons” ban. All have officially endorsed anti-gun positions.

They left out the Democratic National Committee.

It's possible the NRA figures some gunnies will contact the individuals or companys listed in hopes of changing their perspectives .

I keep the list and shop accordingly.
When JCP hired anti rights Ellen , I did stop their email promotions from coming . JCP can easily get me back , fire Ellen and hire an outspoken gun rights advocate .
Or fire Ellen and give money to he NRA or other gun righs group.

It is with sadness , I will no longer shop there , as I bought lots of Lee jeans , a few sportcoats , winter coat , electric blankets and other stuff.
I like the JCP store . My lifestyle no longer requires expensive clothes for most uses.
The wife shopped there too and she aggre's our future rights are more important han any retail outlet.
thank you for posting

Can anyone tell me why the American Firearms Association is on the list? I'm not familiar with the organization, but I checked their website and they certainly didn't seem to be in favor of gun control. Do they have a dirty secret? What am I missing?

The list contains some celebs that haven't done anything for quite some time.
Is it possible some of these may have changed their position on the issue?

Matt Damon? I thought he had some extensive training for the roles he played very much like Tom Cruise. I would have been disappointed seeing Cruise on there.

It doesn't matter how much training someone has, the elite believe no one should own guns besides them. Case and point, why do Rosies body guards deserve guns?

I wonder how many of the groups / organizations listed get some type of tax payer funding or tax payer subsidized grants? I suspect many of them do.

Those with a lot of experience with firearms I would gather would tend to be less (or at all) against them.

I've never heard of them but a quick Google search found this: Link (http://www.gunsmoke.com/guns/firearms_internet.html)
American Firearms Association
Take your blood pressure medication before you visit this site. It pretends to be on the side of law abiding gun owners, proclaiming that compromise is the only way to approach gun ownership. It prides itself in being a home for NRA refugees. Backed by gun grabbers, supported by the same misguided folks that nearly brought the NRA to its knees a few short years ago, the American Firearms Association is no friend of gun owners. Don't encourage them, don't support them, and most of all DON'T BE FOOLED into thinking they care about your firearms rights. If AFA had its way, only cops and the military would have guns (no matter what kind of horse-pucky they are peddling this week).

Most likely because it's one of those shill gun organization created to fool you with a real sounding name. The NRA would know.

Years ago I remember rumors of an NRA Blacklist that may or may not have existed, and in response there was an official website put up by the Bradys and officially putting themselves on a list for the NRA, backed by a bunch of celebrities who put their own names on it too, called nrablacklist.com. If I remember right you could sign your own name on it. Apparently the website doesn't exist anymore, but I found a 2003 article about it: http://www.cornellsun.com/node/10186

I just wrote Motorcycle Cruiser Magazine and discontinued my subsccription with them. I also told them that I have a TON of motorcycle buddies that will soon do the same. Will it do any good? We'll see............. I'm hoping it will.

It is possible some have a different POV .
Doing a free ad for any gun rights group would sure go a long way toward establishing a new identitiy !

Rosie having her bodyguards armed or Ellen having armed bodyguards , does not indicate a change of heart.

Many us believe in a hollywood media agenda to promote only those with anti 2a bias .

Does anyone know the story about Daniel Craig ? supposedly he is a rabid anti rights James Bond ! No Talent dummy Sean Connery sure is !

I think that list is outdated as there are a few celebrities who are dead & many more are out of the biz or are ex athletes.

ACLU has shown a slightly better attitude lately;
Madonna seems to flip-flop;
Stallone is a total hypocrite,
As is Michael Gross, Rosie O'Donnell, Sigourney Weaver, Kevin Bacon, the Baldwins, and any other actor who has picked up even a rubber prop gun for a movie or TV show.

I wonder how many anti-actors on that list, would get / keep jobs, if they proclaim in their auditions or bios, that they will morally stand their ground on firearms, and they will not take any part, in any production, that has any guns involved.

Results: Lots of actors going back to waiting tables, waiting for productions that do not involve guns.

Didn't see the American Communist Party or National Socialists. You'd think they'd be listed first.

Apparently they did not want to alienate their base.

Or more likely , communist's socialist's would use pawns to overthrow a legitimate govt . Then after the work is done , they say we want peace
"turn them in"

The communist's achieve their power as Mao tze dong said " All political power comes from the barrell of a gun"

The first thing you should try to avoid is absolutist statements. It generally betrays either ignorance or delusion.

But I will be happy to look a what proof ,or even vague evidence you may supply us with.

Here's one recent one.

This is only one of many recent gun cases the ACLU has been involved in.
