Finally got the AR of my dreams thanks to an awesome guy here on Calguns. I had an AR-15 last year, plumcrazy lower, DPMS upper that I scored here as well but had to sell it shortly after picking it up from DROS. Long story short, had to buy a set of new tires for my car. Never even got to take her to the range once.

I was set on building an AR and was in the process of researching and shopping around when I noticed a friend selling his AR in the for sale section. I decided mess with him and offered him $7 for his AR and he covers the DROS :43:. Well after a few exchanges he ended up offering me a killer deal on a complete and unfired LMT Defender 2K with KAC rail that I could not say no to.

11 days (stupid work schedule) later, here she is!

Here he is with his "soon to be sold" bro.

Already bought some ammo, have plans for an Eotech and will be stopping by Ammo Bros in a bit so I can pick up some 10/30 Pmags. Any one have advice for a "first time" AR owner?

Very nice. Congrats. However, I would highly recommend an Aimpoint over the EOtech. I have both and find that the Aimpoint is much easier to use. But, to each their own.

Sweet, just got back from my first AR's first trip to Mojave was a lot of fun now I understand the AR lore. Light, Accurate, tons of fun to shoot. I'll be buying some steel to shoot cuz they're right it goes through ammo like no tomorrow.

Aimpoint... Eotech... Aimtech lol jk.

I'll probably end up trying them both out before making a purchase. Thanks for the advice guys.

Looks goog but I have to say I doubt it's stay that way. You'll change out parts after awhile and it's start to because like you girlfriend/wife and it's always keep chainging looks. Shoot, you're already looking for an optic to gussy her up. I'm leaning towards the Aimpoint. Send us a range report also, congrats!
