If you dont like it, dont buy it. I only buy Sigs Sig pro line, Classic line up and a few others. Who gives a crap if the viking is real or not. Heck I'm sure its limited to numbers anyways.

Yup, someone eventually will. If people stop buying these finishes then they'll stop making them. That and the limited edition ones.

Thats how I feel too. I'm sure it'd shoot fine, assuming you dont mind the sights. Even then though, its like when Colt rolls out a 100 year anniversary edition engraved with gold or some fancy crap.....if you end up shooting it you ruin the value already, if its a collector item more power to ya, otherwise who'd want that thing?

Eh and apparently there are viking collectors :chris:

I'd never spend $7000 on it, but it's nice to look at. And I *like* Sig 226's, just such a weird design, front sight and grip -it shocked me. I was by myself when I came across that picture and I woke my dog up.

I am sure a collector will buy it. I think its kind of cool that you can buy a gun with scroll work on it. If I was a collector I would add it to the collection. There is a obvious market for these commemorative style guns. IMO no different than any other collector of other things.

Meh - to each their own. Someone will buy it, that's for sure, even if they're as likely to shoot it as those gold-plated, pearl-handled, .38 Super chambered Taurus pistols.

Maybe some Nordic rapper can use it in a video. What rhymes with "Sig,"mead," "pillage," and "Viking?"

I just got a 42" 1080/120 LED for under $450 brand new. I spent the rest of my profit sharing on car maintenance and AR-15 parts.

I could have bought my roommate's 65" 1080/120 DLP for $400 instead but buying a $100 bulb every year for an obsolete TV didn't seem worth it.

I am going to spend more than $1000 on my Duster's paint job, even after doing my own bodywork and prep. But not too much more than that, since I am repainting it white. :driving:

After looking at the website a little, it looks like this is an example of the custom, one-off work that can be built in the Master Shop. Sig didn't decide to start producing this gun. Maybe they should have started with a different piece to draw less criticism from the crowd, but they are just showing us what they can do in their custom shop. I actually kind of like it. I'd shoot it, especially after I realized it is an SAO. Of course that would be after I cut the protrusions off of the top of the sites.

That lever action is freakin hilarious! The viking made me sad. Some poor engraver just wasted a chunk of his life that he will never get back. That engraved Smith looks nice, but I dont believe a gun should be a mantle piece. I take as best care of my guns as I can, but I shoot them.
