Hey guys just wanted to let out some of my excitement. Today I picked up my Arsenal SGL-21 from RifleGear. I am absolutely in love with this thing! Already installed the ATI pistol grip, and am planning on putting on a Magpul CTR stock and Midwest Industries quad rail. Can't wait to shoot it in a couple days.

I'd ditch the stock and leave it like that. Congrats!

Thanks guys! I totally love the look, but the stock is a bit short for my arms so the CTR is more for function over form, same with the rail. Thanks for compliments guys. It's my first rifle so I am super stoked!

Add what you need to make it shoot better than it does. Stock rifles are good to look at...You won't be staring at that gun right? :43:

Congrats! I pick up mine from them on the 11th :) Thinking about going with a Solar Tactical Grip for a featureless setup, but that standard stock is awfully small. The Magpul CTR is calling my name as well.

Any reason your choosing the quad rail for mounting optics v.s. something like the KV-04S scope mount "utilizing the existing side mount on the receiver"?

Yup! Not to jack your thread but I think they are brothers hehe

I have a midwest indystries rail, and it looks cool but its crap unless you want a forward grip or flashlights n lasers, i'd reccoment the tws dust cover w/peep site.
Im buying a tws this coming up week, if you want a mi rail let me know.
Oh and I cant help it so please forgive me, you shoulda bought a wasr!

any particular reason as to why the midwest rail is crap? just curious. i wanted to use it to add a light and possibly a stubby foregrip.

ChaneRZ lookin' good my friend.

I also possibly wanted to get the KV-04s and throw an Eotech on it. Thoughts?

my opinion is you think your AK is an AR :p

But seriously, the MI rail is just fine if you are going to use it.
What norcalK9 meant is that there are tons of people whom install rail clusters just to have them, in which case they serve no purpose but added weight.

If you are going to mount a tactical photon launcher er.... flash light and a VFG then it would not be lost on you.

@hyeg35
Its not crap if youre gonna do the foreward grip n disco balls lol, but for me I got it just to have a stable mount for a redvdot but it added a bunch of front end weight.
Its a solid rail just not fond of thevweight, I also have a viltor stock setup for collapsible stock and I love that!

Thanks for info guys.

Side Note: I have been "racking the slide" (proper terminology? i am a rifle newb) all freaking day and I have noticed it got caught up a few times. Is this normal with a new rifle? Do it get smoother with time?

I love CalGuns!

Dont mean anything just the scope is about 3in? Above the reciever lol. Makes me remember when I had my saiga 308 like that.
Also how many rounds you have thru that badboy?
Looks brand spanking new

I like the MI rail since it was a one stop shop for me I have my H-1, light, and AFG mounted there. I only attach the light when I make desert trips and shoot steel targets at night but it's all there.

I see what you're saying about the Russian scope.:) That scope looks bad on that rifle but I replaced it with a Primary Arms Micro Dot and I like it much better. I've over 1K rounds of Yugo ammo through it already and no problem with any rust.

Yeah I love corrosive ammo lol.
You should try the texas weapon system dustcover rail, im buying one this week, cant wait to get it cause my aimpoint is getting snatched off the jammomatic ar and going on my bulgarian 74

If your AR is a jammomatic there is something wrong with your weapon I know you like to kid about it so I'm not sure if your serious.

Nice! You won't find a WASR in that condition anywhere.

:hide:

I'm starting to want to go back to the polymer but i just LOVE the wood look. I think if i ever buy a WASR i'll put wood on my WASR and polymer on my Arsenal.
