Anyone know the best place to get the 0.625" chrome lined carbine pencil barrels? I've looked around and it doesnt seem that they're that popular....not really sure why they arent....

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

A gunsmith can skinny up the barrel of your choice, you don't have to buy them already in that form. A gunsmith generally makes less per hour than most plumbers do, so figure $60-85 or so and you've got yourself a barrel slimmer than the original A1.

This one isn't a true pencil barrel, as it measures .750" under the gas block. But the rest of it follows the .625" barrel contour.

These come in bothe Hbar and pencil, chrome lined and unlined. I have one of the chrome-lined A1 carbine barrels for my lightweight build. It shoots well, and has held up for several years thus far.

Pencil barrels aren't hard to find, but you need to use the search terms "lightweight" or "A1".
