Remington 700 SPS tactical .223 cut to 18" with 1/9"
SAS muzzle brake,
Badger bolt knob,
Badger recoil lug,
Badger M5 BM,
Inletted B&C tactical stock.
EGW 20 MOA base,
EGW tactical 30MM low rings,
Leupold Mark 4 LR/T 3.5-10x40MM tactical scope.
Harris bipod.

Posting this for others who may wish to see their rifle in this configuration before making the plunge to cut their BBL. I chono'd it this week at 3200 FPS with Hornady Varmint Express Ammunition 223 Remington 55 Grain V-Max. Chrono prior to BBL cut was 3240. No change in accuracy at .33 average at 100. Infact, even made a couple necklaces for my daughters to show their boyfriends.:shifty:

The brake was purchased from Mile high here http://milehighshooting.com/index.cfm?fuseaction=detail&id=523420&product=306&pageid=77 and the cut and threading/install was done by Up in Arms gunsmithing. The brake was $140 shipped and the cut and install was $85+ shipping

Very nice rifle. Congrats on the upgrades.

I love the bolt knob. Would be great for big hands like mine.

Very very nice. I have a couple of questions. What is the twist rate and why 18 inch instead of 20 inches?

Very Nice! Love the necklaces... I'll have to make two just the same for each of my daughters! Good Dad...

The twist is 1/9. I went with 18" after a little research on .223 ballistics. Basically minimal loss in velocity, no loss in effective range, and some gain in manuvurability and weight. My plan is to go a squirrel huntin if I can find a spot.

Thank you, all the intimidation I can muster. Made 3. A half dollar and a .30 cal would be more effective.

If you don't mind me asking how much are you into for the whole rig? It's a nice rifle.

Thank you. I have to say I lost count, shipping costs ect. I must say I wanted a precision rifle and that ended costing money. It was the wait times that killed me.
