Hey guys I was wondering if one can get a legal sbr here in Cali. I've been thinking about building a krink or M92. Any info would be great!!

The short answer is no you can't get a SBR here in California. You can still build a M-92 or krink, however you must permanently attach a barrel extension to get to 16" on the barrel.

A M-92 ends up looking like this. The rear folder is also pinned so it cannot fold.

Krink. Stock is also pinned so it cannot fold.

you would still need a DWP, which is nigh impossible to obtain

SVT is correct ,can't get a real SBR so this is the closes to the real stuff.

AR pistol or AK pistol is the best normal folks can do here in CA.

In Ca, C&R SBRs can be obtained with a NFA trust or CLEO sign off. So, if you can find a +50 year old C&R SBR that you want, it's possible to buy it here!

I'll do you one better and say build an AR pistol from an 80% lower and FTM!

This. SBR's must be C&R and original. Good luck.

The whole SBR thing is just silly, isn't it. A SBR is supposedly more dangerous somehow, but a AR15 or AK pistol is not? In what universe does that have any logic?

Short answer, NO, unless its C&R. but i would just get an AR pistol or an AK pistol. similar feel, and they wont get you thrown in jail for years on end.

"Fill out some forms, and you can buy certain NFA weapons in California!"

CERTAIN weapons is what gets me on that link you sent...... What are these certain NFA weapons I will be able to own once I spend hundreds on setting up the trust?

AOWs (no pen guns), C&R SBS/SBR, and Destructive Devices under .60". AW rules still apply to those firearms.

Suppressors, SBR's SBS, AOW, DD's.
It's a $200 tax stamp & form 4 for a suppressor & and about 4 month wait. Or an AOW $5 stamp and about 4 months. Here's a shop that has them in stock and will help you with all that's necessary.

almost correct. No option for suppressors in CA for Joe Public, period.

No modern SBR or SBS, or DD's over .60", unless you get a virtually unobtanium DW permit.

Logic and CA gunlaws are your first mistake. How come a gun one day is safe and the next day is unsafe do to the mail being delayed?

Anybody serious about obtaining any NFA item should follow Jack's link here in his sig line.
Jack knows his s**t and one reason why people (namely ME) need to do their legal homework, I've tasted his back hand before and it's not nice.

What about SBR in Nevada? I keep an RV on my friend's land in Nevada - I was thinking about having a 5.7 upper to shoot while I'm there, but not bring it back here. Anyone?

You need to be a resident of NV.
