I havent been to many gunshows in the area except for the "code of the west ones" (in vallejo) which were well waste of time and parking then entrance fees.. so are the McMann ones worth even going to?

considering its gonna cost me 30$ just to get in(parking/me/girlfriend) thats not including the g/f saying i owe her lunch/dinner afterwards and the gas to get there(that is fun stuff though so its ok)

probably looking for AR/SKS/AK stuff mostly.

or should i save the money for the reno gun show and have fun with my C&R?

Save it for the Reno show. Last year I saw plenty of great deals and friendly people. Matter of fact, I met up with a California based FFL and ended up buying a new RIA 1911 GI for about $389 OTD.

Save your money and go to Reno. Biger show and better deals.

Total waste of time, there are some cool vendors, but they don't have anything you couldn't get any day of the week at a decent shop. The prices are not any better either. BUT, if you like cats also, I think the "jazzy cat" cat show will be there again. Its more than a little strange.....

P.S. Where can I find info for the Reno show?

Damn, seems like you guys don't want any more shows in sac. It's all about attendance , the less people show up, the less vendors will too.

I'm a vendor at the shows, so I'll be at the Cal Expo this weekend and looking forward to it! I know it's not much, but if you go to their site, they'll give you $1 off per ticket. The Big Reno show is in May.

^^ being a vendor at a show do you usually sell anything at a discount or same price as if i went to your store front?

Meh...I'm going, I'll park across the street and use the dollar off coupon-9bux spent, no biggie. Pick up up some .223 and I'm outta there.

We choose to sell our stuff at a discount at shows because before we started our company, we would go to gun shows expecting a deal. Aside from the cost of the tables, there's no overhead so no reason to charge what we do outside of a show. Our company (J2Tactical) isn't huge, so we like to walk around before the show starts and compare our prices with some of the bigger competitors and usually knock ours down a bit.

I think this is what I was thinking of doing, all I want is a good price on some 5.56, but everyone's talk here is discouraging.

Thats a good point, you changed my mind about going. I didn't have any other plans for Saturday anyway. I would hate to think the show would stop coming to Sacramento because of crappy attendance.

I might go just to avoid the wifeys honey-do list. No matter how bad the show is it has to be better than doing chores  I want to start reloading so I figure I'll go see if there's any supplys for that.
