I'm sure you can find a vendor on Calguns that will set you up with a great price, instead of linking to one from arfcom ;)

how do you figure 6.8 spc is a work in progress.

There are several variations in the 6.8 SPC, based upon chamber configuration and twist. One of the most knowledgeable persons on the subject is "Constructor" on 68forums.com

He has AR Performance (http://www.ar15performance.com) and sells a quality upper which is well worth the money vs the cheapest out there which is probably model 1 sales.

I have 2 6.8's, one being model 1 sales which I reamed to a spec II chamber. If I buy another, it will be from Constructor.

Whatever you decide, you will be happy with a 6.8!

Bison Armory puts out a great upper with the best customer service ive ever experienced. His prices are very competitive and his uppers are very accurate

Also check out Wilson Combat http://shopwilsoncombat.com/68-SPC-II/products/396/

Wilson Combat actually owns 68forums.com now and they make some accurate barrels.

Also Rainier Arms sells WOA 6.8 barrels and the one I have is a freakin tack driver! Oh and they are also a site sponsor here and a great company to do business with http://www.rainierarms.com/?page=shop/detail&product_id=545

That whole thing didn't seem right. I would just go to the actual source rather than some guy who provides almost no info and just showed up to spam his group buy that he is running on other sites as well.
SOTA Arms, complete uppers and barrels (http://sotaarms.com/?page_id=219)
$379.99 for a complete 6.8 upper
However there isn't a ton of info on SOTA Arms either

Get a 1/11 twist - Some cheap uppers are the old SPC chamber...

Couldnt tell you on best price. IMHO best deals out there are ARP and Bison. Both build great uppers for reasonable price.

If your shopping on a budget, just a forewarning 6.8 is not cheap ammo and brass is hard to come by. That being said I love my stag. Maybe some day the military will start using 6.8 and there will be cheaper surplus ammo available. (doubtful, but wishful thinking).

I ordered two barrels and bolts from Midway today. I have everything else I need. I've had a 6.8 for quite a while now. I killed both my bucks with it last year. Now my brother wants one.
I do load my own.

Thanks everyone! :)
