I'm looking at putting together my first AR. I'm on a bit of a budget and came across this upper and am very tempted.

It seems like a steal. ~$450 w/ BCG and CH, which is about $50 cheaper than they're standard chrome plated mid-length upper. Am I missing something? I would have thought the stainless barrel model would be more expensive????

Also, I most likely will feed it cheap ammo. I'm new to AR's so I'm guessing that will probably be surplus 55 grain (maybe 62 grain, too) ammo, but you guys would know better than me on that one, so correct me if I'm wrong.

That Wylde chambered barrel should serve me well, right??? I'm assuming it would give me as good of accuracy as any other comparably priced upper and the ammo i feed it, right?

I'm somewhat new here so thanks for the feedback everyone!

Not sure if it helps but I have their 20" upper and it shoots great, I'm very happy with the product and the price. Wouldn't mind purchasing from them again.

My buddy has this exact upper. It was shooting extremely well out of the box when we took it to lagina seca.

Revolver - thanks. That's along the kind of what I was hoping to hear. Do you remember what kind of ammo he was shooting?

PMC 55gr. and some of my lake city 62gr. . I was able to hit the gong at 300 yards with iron sites maybe 8 out of 10 rounds and the other 2 puffed the dirt right next to it.

It was shooting straight but a bit high since we were using a LMT rear sight modified for RIBZ. Didnt have a front sight tool on us at the time. It was very consistent and very easy to shoot overall.

I looked at this upper too... Does it take both .223 an 5.56mm?

I just bought that upper. Took it out this weekend and it ran very well and shot quite accurately. I was running Remington 55 grain ammo. I would give it a yes vote.
