in the Orange county area? found a couple in the classifieds, but they are asking $300 over MSRP for a used operator.

if anyone could point me in the right direction I would appreciate it

thanks

find a store thats willing to put you on a waiting list.. All most everywhere your going to be looking at a 6 month wait...

Call the LAX firing range, they are selling one right now on gunbroker. See what they would take to end the auction. It will probably be better than the outrageously priced ones on here.

Currently at $705.00

Irons Sights in Oceanside had them in stock not long ago.

FYI...

In about 3 months I will be selling a Springfield Long beach Operator with Trijicon night sites, surefire x300, extended pressure switch, 3 or 4 wilson combat magazines, STI trigger, and 10-8 grips for around $1500.... I may toss in about 2,000 rounds of mostly boxed ammo for an additional $500.

they are selling it on gunbroker because they know they can get a lot more then msrp for it and theyd rather sell it there then get the rep of selling guns for hundreds over msrp in store. thats my theory. and i dont blame them. it will go for around the same price as the used ones sell for here. hell- for $2k you can have my nib full rail.

My local FFL has one for $1399. I want one but not for that price. What do you guys think a fair price is for a BNIB MC Operator?

I bought mine new for $1250 at So Cal Guns this summer. I think that's a fair price. The ones listed here in the classifieds way over priced are ridiculous. I wouldn't give them the satisfaction. I would go to a good shop, have them order you one, and just wait. It's worth it IMHO.

Just noticed you were in south OC. Give DAS in San Diego a call. The have standing orders with Springfield. Put money down and they'll call you when it's in. They're good people.
