I've read the Sweeney books, they were kind of a good "light and breezy" overview of 1911 lore. Basically they were "bathroom reading" to me.

I'm just starting the Walt Kuleck book, it's a much more information-dense "textbook" on the subject. Not as quick or fun to read as sweeney, but vastly more interesting to me.

Any other good books I should look at?

Not a book but still an amazing look into some very unique 1911s and history.

The Kuhnhausen books and DVD are on my amazon wish list, and the youtube channel is subscribed.

Thanks, all!
