have been using it for a while, very lightweight lube, has PTFE in it
"one of the slipperiest substances known to man" or whatever
check Ace hardware if you're interested......

I like to use it on my Fender Strat for playing Dick Dale and Ventures style surf guitar. Super fast action on the strings! I'd use it on my guns too, just never thought to do it because I tend to avoid using teflon based lubes.
I usually use a really light grade, high temp, high speed turbine oil. It never gums up. Load it up with a ton of PTFE and it might. That's the main reason I've never thought to use the Slick50 lube. Great stuff for all sorts of other applications though.

i thought the PTFE would remain as the lube "base" wore off.....
havent really noticed any gunk building up on my Glocks, revolvers or my Marlin Camp 9......will stick with it for a while & see what happens

also, i guess if your Strat has the laminated maple fretboard, it wouldnt hurt.... i wonder how it would affect an open-grain, unfinished rosewood fretboard like on my Les Paul.....
