View Full Version : Anyone have a Glockworx grip job? (Silicon Carbide or Stipple)

I'm thinking about sending a G20SF frame to Glockworx, for a finger groove removal & very slight reduction. I can't decide on the Silicon Carbide or stipple, so I'd really like to feel both before I have it done. I'd prefer a G21SF or G20SF, but any Glock will do. I can meet anywhere from the Modesto, East Bay, Stockton or East Bay areas.

If you have either grip texture, but are too far away, any info regarding the grip job will help out too.

Even if you're not local, I'd like to know what you think of your Glockworx grip.

I sent mine in about a year ago for a complete overhaul. I really liked the end result.

I've watched your video, and read that writeup a half dozen times each. You seem to be the only guy on the entire interweb with Glockworx grip job. I posted this here, on GlockTalk & in the Glock section of Brian Enos forums. You are the only one that replied. Thanks for the writeup.

How has the grip held up? (any of the epoxy/silicon carbide chip or peel off?)

If you don't get a perfect grip on the draw, are you still able to shift your grip? Or are you pretty much stuck where you grab it during he draw?

Is it hard to keep debris out of the grit? (dirt, fabric, skin from hands etc.)

Would you rather have done the Standard Stipple, and why/why not?

Do you still like the double under-cut trigger guard? Do you like the texture on the second under-cut? Would you have this done again if you could start over?

I think I'm leaning towards the Standard Stipple, but since I can't find one locally, I'm worried it won't be grippy enough with sweaty hands (during matches).

I had mine done in colicone carbide. I absolutely love it but if it's a carry gun id get just stippled. I have pics on the classified section.

I have held and shot one with the silicon carbide, it was exactly as I expected.
If you want skateboard grip tape, but permanent and with better coverage, it's it.
