As great as the stock S&W target grips look they are not ideal for my hands. The top of the left panel jabs my thumb.

I did a lot if research on wooden grips for my S&W's and discovered one of our forum members, Kurac, makes some amazing grips. Not only do they look spectacular but the fit and finish is second to none; they fit my hand like a glove. They are similar in shape to the old coke grips but with a more pronounced palm swell.

I couldn't be happier with the product or the service. Kurac works with you to make sure that you get exactly what you want. The best thing is that they are priced very fairly.

If you appreciate beautiful wood and want some great fitting grips I can't recommend these enough. Even though they do not absorb recoil, they fit so well that magnum loads are not an issue. I have another pair for my 686.

I'll have to post some close ups, the grain is amazing, it is from the crotch of the tree so the grain goes in multiple directions.

^^ That M27 is the whole reason I contacted Kurac in the first place. Simply beautiful grips you got there. The claro walnut grips on my 686 are very nice but do not have the figure that yours do.

The ebony is stunning, I was considering a pair but they are a bit more than I wanted to spend.

Here are some better pics of the grips and how they compare to the stock targets. You can see the palm swell and how they are lower at the trigger guard.
