Legal, just fill in the stock. The end attachment is a muzzle brake.

I don't like the para model...the full lenght gun is so much more sexier

That is a dragunov...completely different rifle from a PSL.

Comparing the two is like comparing a Ferrari to a Camry

Got to handle a CA-PSL on Saturday... felt real nice. They're legal, just get an off-list receiver.

I've found recievers for $150 and up
and parts kits from $399 and up.

the only problem is assembly, but im sure James could do it for you.

Make sure they are in stock, and will sell to CA. Some places still have them advertised, even though they aren't in stock.

After a little work on the PSL, a 10 round fixed magazine has been accomplished.
By cutting off the end of the magazine release, the spring is much too stiff to operate the remaining release by hand. It now requires a tool to release the magazine. The magazine release was cut below the level of the trigger guard such that the finger can not be wedged in between the trigger guard and magazine release. The aluminum piece (tool) was cut and filed to fit the remaining magazine release. This video shows that it can be done with one hand.

Took about an hour with hand tools. Enjoy!

There was a post/threaqd a few days ago about a subset of PSLs (Century?) that had a welded-up 'happy hole' which made the BATF displeased, triggering a recall. This does not apply to all PSLs, just some - but use care.
