I contacted STEYR USA and was told the only way their handguns would be approved for sale in CA is if they were redesigned. Very vague about what the DOJ deemed UNSAFE. Anyone know? Thanks. John

Loaded chamber indicator and / or magazine disconnect?
That would be my guess
(I did not look up their pistols to see if they have those features or not)

Edit: quick google their M model does seem to have a chamber indicator

Get one from:

1. SSE
2. PPT
3. Interfamily gift transfer from out of State.
4. Move to free state.

Hopefully the list will go away someday.

Bob
