I'm looking to build me wife a new rifle and I really don't want to drop 3K on a scope for her. I was looking at the Mark 4 6.5-20x50mm ER/T M5 Front Focal with the Horus Vision H37 reticle. I have yet to look thru there FFP scopes. I have ran the Mark 4 scope and there nice but FFP pretty new to Leupold. I just want to make sure it nice before I buy it.. Also let me know if you have seen one in any socal stores..

If you must have a FFP scope, try looking at the Vortex Viper PST with FFP. If you can find one in stock, it is a great scope. IMHO, the glass is as good, if not better, than the Leupold Mark 4. The only difference is the Viper has more features.

I just sold a Vortex PST FFP on here less then a week ago. Yes its a good scope but not on par with the high grade glass or turret adjustments of the higher end companies

Here's just about the only video I found online of the Mk4 with FFP:

If your still in the army go to promotive and check out the leupold store there. I got a.6.5-20 ffp m5 with a tmr reticle for MUCH less than what they usually go for. Just sighted it in on my 700 yesterday. Liked it better than my brother in laws nightforce. TMR reticle is awesome.

I'd save my money and not get a Horus Christmas tree reticle. A standard Leupold Mk 4 with mil dots will definitely suffice.

I would not even consider a Leupold on a precision rifle, especially at that cost. In that price range the only optic I'd use is a Nightforce F1 with the MLR 2.0 reticle. I have one on my main competition rifle that replaced a 5-25 Schmidt. For a precision rifle, there's more to an optic than nice glass and a fancy reticle.

Again, if you are in the army check out the deals on Leopold on promotive - even the Horus reticled 34mm 6.5-20 m5a is less than the $2500 msrp of the standard 30 mm 6.5-20 ert, which is MUCH less.
