Why do people pay 100$'s extra for these... I can't understand it. What do you guys think? personally I don't even like how they look, but if I had to buy one I guess I'd buy it, but to pay 300$ extra???? Madness.

Simply because they are no longer being made. They are a limited commodity, which to some, make it a collectors item.

Why do you think Glock stopped making them (I'm not sure)? I wonder if they didn't sell many.. if they did, they will probably make them again. The concept of a collectors glock is kinda funny, no? Glocks are definitely purpose built tools... not really works of art.

If people will really pay $100's more just because its OD, why didnt they buy them when they were being made? Why did they have to wait for OD Glocks to go out of production to buy some? I dont understand that part. They had the opportunity to buy them and people procastinated. Weird...

I think I heard a rumor that the plastic on the OD Green Glocks was expensive to make and more brittle than the black.

I wouldn't mind having an OD glock but I probably wouldn't pay much extra for it.

Im one of the people posting in the WTB adds for OD's. I just like the way they look and wasnt into them back when they were available in stores (bad timing...I know). I have purchased 6 OD glocks in the last two months. The MOST I have paid was $625 for a NIB one that I really wanted. Thats not far from what a new store bought one with taxes would be. Good deals are still out there but I have had several people ask me for crazy high $. If they can get 800+...more power to them!

I bought a brand new Glock OD 17 back in 2007. A couple of months ago I listed it as a straight trade for a Glock 34. Within 30 minutes I had 8 people contact me willing to trade.

Two reasons. People love buying what is hard to get a hold of, mark something "LE-MIL Only" and you will get more interest/sales just because it's harder to have. Now that they are discontinued it triggers that feeling. Secondly, anything OD has become way more popular with the online crowd.

I ran into a OD Glock 19 thru a friend of mine, sold it to me and I thought nothing of it. And I still own it :) proudly, and its not going anywhere!!!!!!
