Also, it is helpful to make sure that the lowers are not banned by name (when made into a semi-auto firearm). The CalGuns flowchart is helpful:

striped lowers

We talking zebra stripes, or a classy pin-striping?

I kid, I kid.

Kemasa's link to the flow chart will tell you which lowers are by defined as Assault Weapons by name; AW lowers are generally restricted to special circumstances.

If it's not on the list and it's not a pistol lower, it's good to go as a stripped lower.

I was very sleepy when I was typing last nite. They are not on the chart and are not pistol lowers. So I guess I can ship them to you guys. Thanks for your help. Can I post them on this site?

Just a clarification; If the receiving FFL is an 07 that intends to build pistols with the lowers, it's OK if they are marked pistol.

That's a fantastic clarification.

I should also note that markings are less relevant once it's been transferred into CA. If it's marked Pistol on the frame, but is transferred as a long gun (due to the lack of "other" status for unused frames) then it's kinda stuck as a long gun.
