View Full Version : open carry on my own property....yes, or no.

Hello. Due to the recent legislation out of Sacto, I am wondering if I am legal to open carry or conceal carry on my property. I have four acres in the high desert and am more comfortable with a firearm on my hip. Any takers? I should just get around to getting my CCW as I am in Kern County. But I haven't yet. Just looking for specific instruction on the current laws... Thanks
If it's legal to shoot on your property (Which it should be if you're not in city limits) you can legally open carry loaded. If your property is fenced in (legally not accessible to the public) it is not illegal for you to carry concealed and loaded just like it is in your own house and backyard (but not front yard if it's accessible to the public.)

Thanks, I'm going to research a little more into this. But thank you for the response.
