Greetings all,

I decided I would go ahead and post some pics of my most recent AR. I know you all can't have this in this configuration in Kali, but now, after 30 years, I've escaped the madness of the PRK to Radio Free Idaho, so I thought I would share. You can live vicariously through these pics, quite frankly I have to go to the safe and handle it to believe it's real and it's really mine. I picked it up the day after I got my temporary Idaho driver's license. I had been eyeing this on RRA's website the night before and low and behold a local dealer had one, their first in stock. I asked the clerk if a temporary driver's license was okay to do a 4473 and he asked to see it. It had my picture on it and he took one look at it and said, "yes, this is fine." From the time I said, "I'll take it" to the time I was walking out of the store to put it in my truck, it was less than 15 minutes. What a feeling. I was kind of jumpy walking to my truck, thinking that the DoJ would be swarming me any second. Nope, just put it in the truck and drove home. No drama except for the glorious feeling in my heart. At first I was ambivalent about getting the tax stamp, but I've decided that I'm going to register it as an SBR so I can put a stock and fore-grip on it. I'm told the local Sheriff will sign off on the paperwork without issue. I'm going to get on it next week. I'm also told by the folks in the local gun stores that the tax stamp is taking longer and longer to get; I may have to wait over 6 months, but it will be worth it.

So, here she is: RRA PDS Pistol, w/rail (I have the standard grip on it now), T1-Micro on GG&G mount, GG&G sling adapter, Magpul BUIS, Specter Gear MOUT sling, and SureFire 60 round and Magpul 30 round goodness!!!:

So far I have had her to the indoor range twice, I sighted in both the BUIS and Aimpoint at 25 yards, the max distance of the range. She ran flawlessly!, and was putting them through the same hole or touching when I shot it off of a rest. I was really surprised at how smoothly it shoots, the recoil is about that of a 1911 w/GI ball. That piston system is awesome! After checking with the Rangemaster about rapid fire, which is allowed if you are not acting crazy, I ran the SureFire 60 rounder through its paces, most of it as fast as I could safely pull the trigger. Wow! The flame ball out the muzzle was about 4 feet long with 5.56 Nato loads! After I finished the 60 rounder, the guys in the lanes next to me asked me when I was going to stop. :D

Hope you enjoy the pics.
