View Full Version : Does AIM have the guts to do this...
Drop the price on Mosin Nagant from $79 to $69.
Think they would do it?
Heck, I would buy a bunch of em if they did.
Listening AIM? :43:
Maybe do a special California only sale. :43:

I think there needs to be a "Hoarders: Buried Alive in Mosin-Nagants Edition". Some people just can't help themselves when a 70 year old battle tested piece of history is priced under 100 bucks (or in your case, under 79, but I think you are being unreasonable :) )
I bet there are some insane hoards out there of well over 100 rifles. Does anyone have pics? I thought I saw a picture one time of 7.62x54r's (website guy) basement... it was insane.

Mmm I couldn't find it, the attachments don't show anymore when browsing old threads on another site. :(
I did read some numbers kicked around (http://forums.gunboards.com/showthread.php?207101-How-many-Mosins-in-you-collection&highlight=largest+mosin+collection) of people owning 300, 400, 500, 800(!) mosins.

I really lust after something like this:
http://parrotheadjeff.com/blog/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/PWA_M9130CRATE.jpg
Actually I'm sure you could order one from a distributor, they will probably give you a volume deal too. :)
I saw the same thing for consecutive serial numbered M59/66s a few years back offered by Samco... 10 rifles.. that was cool .

there was a picture on cal guns a couple years back where somebody cleared out their safe and had all the guns lined up in the backyard against the house. like, the whole house. I thought that was cool.

I get collecting a lot of different Mosins, but a crate full of the same type? Whatever floats your boat I guess.
We were at the Vallejo show last weekend and saw a Polish 22 trainer. The guy selling it wasn't there, but it looked cool. It was single shot and pretty nice, interesting.

I want his babies! damn look at that. SKS, Mausers, swiss, Einfields! and more!! man a C&R Delight.
I saw a thread on the Mosin forums some guy had an insane amount. Something like 500 crates in his warehouse. He would order them by the bundle and just stack em up. I think he is ready for the German Invasion.

I'm about to do it again. Only this time bigger. Would be nice if everyone came back down to $79.95 again, or cheaper would be nice too.

why would they ever lower the price. They are making a killing even with the raised price. Should have bought more when they were cheaper.

Why do people collect stamps? Not like they're going to mail a ton of letters. Looking at the crate of rifles picture, 4 years ago you could get a crate of 10 SKSs , consectutively numbered, in the crate for about 2300. NOT for california though I was told when I enquired.

Forget the Germans! We're talking zombies! A 7.62x54R shot in the head, and that walker never rises again.
But seriously - Mosins are beautiful and reliable in a girl-next-door kinda way. The metaphor will stop there, or I'm gonna sound like a pimp.

I would take the lid off, cover it in glass and use the full crate as a coffee table. Then I would invite those religious fanatic door-knockers in for some coffee.
But that's just me. :43:

So, can I buy a full crate anywhere for less than $700?

Nope. That ship has sailed. A crate is 20 rifles.

lol this is true :) I am eyeing an m44 right now on SOG. I don't think my little apartment and safe can hold a full long mosin. I hear m44 are really fun! however they accuracy is hit or miss.

You missed out OHOD.
Aim was one of the last importers/wholesalers to raise their price From 69.95 to 79.95 Fall of last year. It isn't going back down, and is going to be rising just about $10 per rifle every six months or so. My avatar pic was $1400 before shipping and fees, now it's $1600. That's what $10 per rifle does for you :(

I went to JG Sales last year and spent pretty much all day picking over the mosins. Took a good 6 hours, and i paid an extra $30 or so for each one, but im pretty damn sure i have the best 6 examples of mosins in their entire arsenal.
It was actually kinda cool going over all those rifles, the "maybe" pile alone was a good 30 or 40 rifles and i whittled it down from there.
I only have 6, but each one of them is as close to a perfect specimen as can be found.
