View Full Version : Santa Clara county: New Shooters event

02-15-2012, 4:57 PM

The NRA Members Council of Santa Clara County will be holding a shooting event for new and novice shooters in April. The idea behind these events is to introduce people to shooting in a safe, but fun environment. Our Members Council will be providing the training (including some classroom time), one-on-one shooting coaches, firearms and ammunition. The only cost to the student is $5 for the range fee, plus an optional fee for lunch if the student so desires.

If you know of someone who has never handled a firearm before (or who has very rarely gone shooting), and who might be interested in an introduction to the activity, please forward the following flyer to them:

We do require reservations. Contact information and all other details are on the flyer.

As you all know, introducing people to shooting is one of the most effective ways to advance our Second Amendment rights at a grassroots level. So please don't hesitate to forward this flyer to anyone in your life who you think could benefit from an introduction to shooting.

Thanks for doing this!

No problem. :)

It's actually a regularly occurring event that our MC puts on. We've done 5 or 6 now, and the new shooters always come away talking about what a positive experience it was for them.

As I said in the OP, it's one of the best grass-roots activities that we can think of to do as an MC which will help change local attitudes with regards to guns. So if you know anyone 18 years or older who you think would be open to an introductory shooting experience, please forward the flyer to them. We're a friendly bunch of guys, really we are. :)

I'm going to try to get a few new/interested shooters to sign up for the July and Sept events.

Thanks again for the outreach.
