I bought some of those reactive targets that produce a color when you hit them. They are fun, with one big exception. They are black background, and I found out that I have difficulties acquiring sight picture. It simply takes much longer to get a good shot, and even then not all shots are good. Would tritium sights help?

What sights are you using now?

My Sig 1911 has Novak night sights and the S&W 686... don't know the name... metal, red front and "don't remember" rear.

Well obviously something with more contrast would be better. I'd say switch targets instead of sights. Those Shoot-N-C targets are cool but way too pricey IMO

Yeah, I was thinking of simply switching targets. I just didn't want to waste the ones I bought, but then it's way cheaper than getting new sights. Too bad they don't make (or I didn't see) some of those splatter targets with a light background.

Focus on the front sight. Target color won't mean a thing.
