I was at a UPS sort center. The lady behind the counter said that she has been on the phone all day dealing with a customer who wants to ship a rifle from CA to himself in FL. Customer says he spoke to DOJ and they said it was OK

The guy in line, in front of me was a pawn shop dealer and also confirmed that the owner of the rifle can not ship to himself.

Pease educate me.

:fud: You can ship yourself a rifle.
Legal? Yes. Will FDX/UPS do it without hassle? Most likely not. :(

You might want to try the regular post office. Their website is pretty clear that you mail a rifle to yourself. You may want to take a copy of it when you go. Title 12.. I think...

I have done countless shipments of rifles to other C&R buyers and not once ever had an issue. UPS does not need to know and they do not ask if the shipper is FFL holder. And the buyer does not have to be FFL. UPS doesn't care who you send a rifle to. Just do not go to the UPS Store chains. That's a hassle.

Use the mail, it is not illegal to ship to yourself.

Nor to LOAN to someone else, even across state lines.
