Hey guys, I'm looking to buy my first AR rifle. I'm leaning towards the Daniels Defense M4V4. I want to pick one up to keep my other guns in the safe, safe. I really am a noob when it comes to the black rifle. As a point of reference my favorite rifle is a Lymans Great Plaines .54 cal black powder followed by my Savage .17HMR

I'm planning on getting an eotech 512 red dot sights and also the magpul front and rear sights.

Any thoughts on these items? Thanks!

Welcome to the forum. I suggest you go to the rifle gallery and spend some time looking at all the AR15 Gallery (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=232935) also the Self loading 223 gallery (http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?t=26726) has some nice AR15 rifles.

Spend a lot of time looking at what YOU like. Mix, match, and customize something that YOU will enjoy.

Welcome to the BRD.

So many words? You could have just posted the links and said "rifle pRon!". Thanks for the heads up;) I'm also looking for performance info. I did find a Daniels Defense V RRA post which has been helpful. Thanks for the info and warm welcome. CG is a great resource!

I've had a DD m4v4 for about a year now. Not a single problem at all, not a misfeed, not a jam, nothing..... Great rifles.

No needs, just wants. I have the guns I need for plinking, hunting and HD. I just feel that I should have one.
