I recently purchased a Saiga 332 in 7.62. I have been researching for a few days and just want to make sure there is nothing I have overlooked. Here is my part list I am thinking of ordering:

Kit #6 with rounded TG and Warsaw stock - store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-891/Saiga-Rilfe-Conversion-Kit/Detail

Upgrade to ERGO Ak grip - http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-886/Ergo-AK-Conversion-Saiga/Detail

Bullet Guide - http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-502/SAIGA-AK47-BULLET-GUIDE/Detail

AK 74 Brake - http://store.carolinashooterssupply.com/servlet/-strse-1282/24mm-AK74-Brake-Threads/Detail

Total price is about $200 shipped.

Is there anything I have overlooked or could I pick better parts? Thanks for the help!

If I'm not mistaken, that would trigger 922r, unless it was already taken into account and the correct amount of foreign parts have been swapped out. Do you have a photo or link to the Saiga configured as you will take possession?

I think you should count up your 922r parts. The Ergo grip is a good start, the muzzle brake you want is also US, the buttstock and FCG add a few more, but here is what I've tallied:

1) US grip (1 part)
2) US buttstock (1 part)
3) US muzzle brake (1 part)
4) FCG (3 parts)
Total so far: 6

You need 7.

A few other items that don't cost much include:

Handguards (1 part) or gas piston (1 part).

I usually end up with more than I need, never a bad idea if you want to change things later and still stay within compliance.

Good luck,

R

I can just switch out the hammer/main spring then and make it 7 right?

Parts count on an AK is 16 the op only needs to replace 6 parts to be at 10 or less.
My parts list would include a barrel less AK 74 kit, us piston, fcg, stock, and grip.
