This place says they have them!! http://competitivefirearms.com/

I been on the hunt for a CBOB and came across this website.

Maybe not necessarily a deal but being that these are the only 2 on the CA gun roster I'm sure that someone else is out there looking. Just a heads up. The Classic seems to be more and more sought after. I will be placing my order with them.

Oh and for you non CA residents. They have the 1911 Bobtail Classic in 10mm!!!

Anyone ordered from them before? Can't find much information about them online.

I've never heard of them before I saw this thread. I placed an order early this morning and received an automated reply right away telling me that I still needed to pay. Email replyed to/voicemail left this morning and still no reply to either. The web site does seem a bit lacking in detail (I saw nowhere on it where you could even email them, just a physical address/phone number.) It sounded too good to be true, I thought these Dan Wesson CBOB's were long since discontinued anyway.....who knows?

I wasn't able to get anyone on the phone, too. So, I didn't put in an order. I'll try again tomorrow and see if I can get a hold of someone.

I placed an order as well, the email I got ask for payment by cheque. I wouldn't get my hopes up for this supposed deal.

It would be nice if they would pick up the phone. I'm going to leave it at this for now until someone from the shop responds to my email or calls me back. So much for getting my hopes up.

For what it's worth, that company is listed as an official CZ dealer here:
with same address but a different phone number. Try (224) 622-0887.

Weird pricing!

$1,224 for a CBOB, but $1,918 for a Valor in duty coat? That Valor can go as low as $1,599 elsewhere...and the CBOB normally much higher new? Maybe because it's outside CA?

I'd bet the CBOB is not in stock, just a guess...

Oh and for you non CA residents. They have the 1911 Bobtail Classic in 10mm!!!

SSE will get the 10mm... If I had an extra 1300 lying around I would be all over it... :D

anyone here know the history of the DW CBOB from it's beginning? I know about the Patriot version with the external extractor. It's the earliest design of the DW Bobtail that was top of the line back then. then there is pre CZ Classic's then came the CZ models. All of which had a forged slide(?) and cast frame.

2010, 2009, 2007 & older sold for around a grand I think. Today on the website they are listed at $1658.00 the V-BOB is listed $1688.00 and have a forged frames. Can this be the reason that the 2011 & 2012 Classic's increase in pricing? Are the new Classics forged also?
