OK here's the skinny. I will produce a lower for anyone with whatever on it but the price for one will be quite a bit higher than average. I will charge the set up time for one lower the same as 100 lowers. The best way for you to get a price is to send me an email to info@centermasstactical.net and tell me specifically what you want done. Model #, caliber markings, serial designation, and most importantly you need to send me a picture of what you want engraved on the lower. It doesn't have to be exact but at least close. The pirate, skull, all sound ok

Is there any copyright issue that would prevent you from doing the "pirate" lowers, with the "parley/arr/plunder" markings for safe/semi/auto? Of course, the "plunder" marking would be strictly decorative... I've seen pics of such lowers and have wanted one for some time. If you can do it, I'm sure we can work out enough interested folks...

Good luck. I don't think Robert is the greatest e-mailer. I would highly recommend calling him instead.

I did talk to him today about his Calguns marketing. I told him it would be helpful to post pictures and prices. I told him he might get a lot of 1 lower orders for custom work and he didn't sound too thrilled. He would rather have an order of 25 or more.

I am just passing along the info, you should still try to get an answer from him on what he wants to do.

I will most certainly post pictures and a review when I get my lowers in.

Hello Robert,

I am from the Calguns forum and am responding to a thread you created about Custom Lowers. Many of the guys have posted in the thread, but it is not apparent if anyone has contacted you directly. If possible, can you please provide me with ballpark pricing for:

1. 25 x Stripped Lowers (Pirate Character w/ Parley, Plunder, etc... selector markings)

2. Est. Pricing for a custom color

3. Est. Pricing for a custom caliber marking (.22, 6.8, etc...)

With your permission could I please share the pricing with the guys on the forum for purposes of setting up a "Group Buy"?

NSR500

He replied back to me with the following details:

1. He prefers orders of 50, but... may be able to work us a deal on 25.

2. He can anodize 3 colors (Black, Tan, Green) but he can only anodize 1 color per batch so we will have to make our mind up on 1 color.

3. Respectful non-ignorant engraving only and the price will be determined on size and complexity. (Text w/Graphics, Text w/o Graphics)

4. Custom Serials and Company Name at no additional cost. (I'll have to speak with him directly as to what this means. i.e. Same batch or individual lowers.)

So, if ya'll are serious we can decide on a configuration, get a list going, and then work out the funding/deposit. For me, I'd really like to have a .22 caliber marking and will go with the flow on whatever character or selector marking you guys want. As for Color... Maybe we can just go with Black and whomever wants Pink will have to Duracoat theirs.

I think what's going on is that we have two distinct bunches of folks: one set wants hello kitty, which is fine, it's their right.

And then there's folks like me who want the pirate design.

And apparently some of the hello kitty folks are ok with making the kitty a pirate. That's nice, but not necessarily all of us pirate folks are ok with hello kitty. :)

I am a FFL SOT manufacturer that specializes in custom AR-15's. I Manufacture Custom lowers for any company or department. I will custom engrave your company name, logo, and serial #.
I mill my receivers to 1/2 of Colts factory mil-spec tolerances. I use 7075-T6 alloy forgings. I use an upgraded anodize QQP class2 type 3 which gives a nice satin finish. Each lower is hand de-burred checked individually for quality. I do not rush the process by skipping steps.
Most receivers on the market have very loose tolerances and are only anodized with a QQP class 2 type 2 which gives a powdery matte finish. I mill my receivers to a step above a mil spec receiver.
The term mil-spec is a very over used word and nothing out on the market is really mil-spec unless it has select fire capabilities.
I stand behind the quality of my receivers and I know that anyone who purchases one will be very impressed. Compare my lowers to any others and you can see the difference plain as day.
Contact me via phone 541 230 0762 or email – whoop308@hotmail.com--Robert R

I wish I had photoshop skills, but we should decide on a design and go for a group buy of at least 25 lowers. I say we work with Grammaton's picture and modify it to our own ends.

http://img221.imageshack.us/img221/8083/piratelower1stick3oo.jpg

On the magwell:
- The current pirate logo on the image
- "Calguns" in lieu of "Jolly Roger"
- Remove the caliber markings (as a compromise between the multi-marking and 22 people)
- Serial Number

Selector Markings
- Parley, Arrgh, Plunder? (I'd prefer "ARR!" in lieu of "Arrgh." Sounds more piratical.)

I call dibs on "PIR8" as my serial.

Actually, I bet there are a lot of guys out there that might like a ".22LR Only" marked lower. I will see what I can do for you.

I'd buy a couple. Hope to hear more from you Wes.

So what logo do you want to see on it? How about the pirtate jolly roger you have all been clamoring for? And what do you want the caliber to actually say?

".22 LR Only"

or

".22 LR"

And yes, I will be taking care of this for you. When you combine this with the other lowers I have coming in, we should be able to get them to you cheaper than $180.

Cal. .22 Long Rifle

Tell me where to send my monies...lol

oh please start a new thread when you get the roup buy together:)

Group buys are over rated and often fail. This one is going to be simple. You pay for it, you get it, then you go shoot it.

Oh I thought you had a group buy thing going, my bad. You just tell me when/where/how how much to send my money then. Hahaha.

".22 LR"

This would work for me with no logos. I think the best looking A2 lowers to date are the one's from NoDakSpud http://www.nodakspud.com/AR%20Lowers.htm .

I'm still interested in a pirate logo lower w/ .22LR markings. What would that cost Mr. 10%?

P.S. If I purchase one, I'd like the serial number to be ARR-15 or PIR8.

I will probably have him do a run of pirates and a run of nothing. Markings will be ".22 Long Rifle". No custom serial numbers.

Could we get ARR-15 or ARR-22 somewhere on there? Possibly as the model number? I think it's clever and funny enough to be used.

The model name for the pirate pictured one should be RDRR-15

Marine EGA lowers and OneAsstoRisk lowers are at the shop. I will be taking pictures and posting them up for sale tomorrow morning. I only have about 15 EGAs and 5 1* so don't screw around. There will be more, but not sure when.

Here is the next batch of custom lowers.

http://www.calguns.net/calgunforum/showthread.php?p=781631#post781631

We are working on a plain Jane type .22 Long Rifle lower and a Jolly Roger type .22 Long Rifle and a multi or 5.56mm lower as well. Wait about a month on that. We have all sorts of pokers in the fire.

I am discovering to keep it simple. The first batches will probably just have plain selector markings. Maybe someday we will take the next step.
