S/27 Dated 1937. All Waffenampts still in tact - not a Russian Capture.

And it's sweet isn't it SKSer? Sweet sweet sweet....

I can hear it singing to me from the next room now... Deutchland Deutchland... uber alles....

Edit: Oh... and don't let Dingle there fool with your head... he'll never get that K98 from me. I may be buying a few more in a few days... he might, and I stress might, get one of those. ;)

I know der Furher will always be loyal to me!! hehe mmmm sides making love to mauser porn is so much better and less expensive! wooo!!

Ok that camo is Legendary! Strictly made for Waffen SS units which the best of the best in the 3rd Riech. I have a couple of repro camo stocks but check this one out...its sooooo pretty.

http://www.polishforums.com/user_files/uploaded/48748/1048987_2_o.jpg

Even today the Modern German Army uses something similar to these "dot" camo. Its called Flecktarn.

Here it is :)

Surprised that nobody mentioned the K98K with the high turret mounts.

And will someone please mop the floor, it's getting sticky around here. :)

Rojo German engineering> Russian Engineering

By the 1941, two companies submitted the self-loading rifles for consideration of German Army - Walther and Mauser. These rifles were designates as Gewehr 41(W) and Gewehr 41(M), respectively, or G41(W) and G41(M), in short. Both rifles were somewhat similar in that they were gas-operated self-loaders, both utilizing the Bang-type annual gas pistons, located at the muzzle of the gun, within the relatively large muzzle cap. Both were fed from fixed 10-round magazines. Both rifles were tested in combat and both proved as poor performers. The Bang-type muzzle gas system was among the key sources of the problems, so, by the late 1943 Walther engineers mated the G41(W) action with the much more effective and reliable gas system of the Russian Tokarev SVT-40 rifle. The resulting design was designated as Gewehr 43, or Gew.43, or G43 in short.

So did you put in a new gas piston/shooter's kit - or are you firing with the VoPo's original configuration?

diopter

Bought the Apfeltor Kit, but did not need it.

The Czechs knew what they were doing when they refurbed them after the war , on this one at least. Bolt spring assembly was put in backwards when we got it and gave us some problems with bolt not closing properly until we figured it out. Very sweet.

Rogerbutthead
02-09-2012, 8:49 PM
The video stated the rifle was a Volpo - The East German Volkspolizei marked their G43s with a sunburst which I assume this rifle has. The Czechs did not mark their post war used G43s.

Can I ask how you know the Czechs refurbed this rifle?

I nearly had by hands on getting a '43 byf for $185 with bayonet but minus the bolt. But the seller sold to someone else :(

My mistake. I was thinking of something to to with a CZ858 firing pin while writing that reply. I meant to say the former East Germans.
