Hey Dean,

Have you had any reviews on the WASR-3 from customers? I've been contemplating an AK in .223 but have heard some of the WASR-3's having issues here and there.

At this price I just may be willing to take my chances, just thought I'd ask here first to make sure.

We just started carrying these. I have sold about 40 of them and so far I have not gotten any negative feedback on them.

is this legal in cali?

Yes. It is an off list AK type rifle and DDs sends them without any evil features (Pistol Grip, Flash Hider, etc.)

DD's are good people.

Dean.

I broke my WASR-3 in today. I gotta tell ya, I've built a couple of AK's to my liking from parts kits and just decided purchase one of these for the .223 caliber, and there were no hickups and it shot very well. D/t time restraints, I was zeroing the sights in today using metal plates. Once I got it to hit dead on, it continued to hit it consistently.

The finish on the wood wasn't bad, but I do plan to strip it down and laminate it with a burgundy finish. Also, finish on the metal and the welding marks were pretty good. One plus was that there's a scope mount already on the side, not that I'd consider using it, but at least it's there. My only complaint is that the barell wasn't threaded to accept a muzzle brake. Overall, I was very pleased with the rifle and would recommend it to anyone that would like to stick one rifle caliber if you already have an AR, HK SL8, Sig 556, Galil, FS2000, XCR, PTR 93, etc....hehehehe....:43:

Thanks for the prompt shipment and for offering excellent prods.

Sincerely,

Mr. "Ship my WASR-3 to Metroshot..."

is there some sort of mag lock available for these?

Yes. I actually used the maglock by Radd and it fit and worked like a charm. If you do a search for "Radd lock", you should be able to find a couple of threads about them. I bought mine from Metroshot and I believe they have a couple for sale.

I hope this helps.
